The good folks at Henrichsen’s sent me a couple of bottles of their amazing whisky, which welcomed me when I got home from Europe. Loree and I waited till 5:00 to give it a try and wow…
It’s 115 proof, which is rare enough. A sip at neat, and I was shocked that 115 proof could be so nuanced. A couple of pieces of ice, and it settled into genuine complexities that I’ve never savored before.
Loree poured a dram of her favorite Blended Scotch and did a side-by-side comparison, and it’s no longer her favorite.
Some things one might save for a special occasion, but really, can’t any day on the sunny side be a special occasion?
